Powderhorn365 ::Aria Dominguez My husband and I bought a house in Powderhorn because we love the neighborhood's cultural diversity and creative vibe. We also wanted to be close to Powderhorn Park, where we coach soccer, play various sports, fly kites, feed the geese, sled, skate, romp at the playground and wading pool, wander through festivals, and try to coax the dog out of the lake when she gets loose. I have fond memories of this area from the time I attended the May Day parade as a little girl, and we think it's a great place to raise my teenage stepdaughter and toddler son.Between running the family business, Mayan Remodeling (mainly drywall and framing), and the kids, I don't have much time for writing or photography. So this project is a way to help me to set aside at least a short time each week to look with fresh open eyes. I look forward to strapping the kid on my back, leashing up the dog, and heading out to see what we discover in Powderhorn. |
